Beaufort Memorial closes some services in wake of storm. Here’s what remains open

Expected to reach Florida’s Big Bend region late Thursday, the predicted incoming impacts for Hurricane Helene triggered a tropical storm watch for the Lowcountry.

Beaufort Memorial Hospital has closed or delayed several outpatient services in the wake of Tropical Storm Helene, which tore through the region Friday morning leaving damaged trees and boats in its wake and thousands without electricity.

The announcement was made Friday morning following an assessment of the impacts of the storm, the hospital announced.

These offices will be closed Friday:

All physician practices and outpatient services, including imaging, lab, breast health center, outpatient rehab (physical, speech, occupational, cardiac and pulmonary therapies) and the New River Cancer Center in the Okatie Medical Pavilion. Patients are being contacted to reschedule.

All three express care and occupational health clinics clinics.

These offices will remain open Friday:

Main hospital campus; Beaufort Primary Care at 989 Ribaut Road., Beaufort; Heart Specialists at 300 Midtown Dr., Beaufort; Lady’s Island Internal Medicine at 117 Sea Island Parkway, Lady’s Island; Lowcountry Medical Group-Primary Care at 300 Midtown Drive, Beaufort; Lowcountry Medical Group-Specialty Care at 300 Midtown Drive, Beaufort; Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists at 989 Ribaut Road., Beaufort; Oncology Specialists at 989 Ribaut Road., Beaufort; Radiation Oncology at 989 Ribaut Road., Beaufort; and Sea Island Psychiatry at 989 Ribaut Road, Beaufort.
