The ‘Hilton Head Hotties’ of TV’s Big Brother return to their roots with new home

Big Brother contestants Tyler Crispen and Angela Rummans have decided to switch coasts with a move to Hilton Head house that came “sight unseen,” the pair announced Sunday.

“Bye bye LA, we moved... far!,” season 20 runner-up Crispen wrote in an Instagram caption. “After one of the craziest months of all time, we’re excited to finally share that we’ve moved to the place that brought us together in the first place. We are now proud homeowners on the best island in the world.”

Both Rummans and Crispen have ties to the area. Rummans, a fitness model, grew up on the island, and Crispen worked there as a lifeguard before entering the Big Brother House.

Both made it to the final four of Big Brother’s 20th season, with Crispen netting $75,000 at the show’s finale as the season’s runner-up and fan favorite contestant. After becoming a couple in the Big Brother house, the two moved in together in Los Angeles and started a jewelry line called Naut and Chain.

In a vlog about the move, Crispen said the pair was looking for a change from high LA rent when he saw a pop-up ad for a house on Hilton Head Island that he sent to Rummans.

“I sent it to her just as a joke,” Crispen said. “Like ‘look at this house, this house is actually cheaper than what we’re paying in rent in California.’”

The two put in an offer on the home, which was rejected. On a trip to Greece two months later, they saw another “even more beautiful” house on the island and offered again, after Rummans got her parents to look at it for them, she said. This time, the offer was accepted.

The pair bought the house without stepping inside, a move that Rummans called “the most millennial thing we’ve ever done.”

In their vlog, the couple promised to post future videos of their first time inside the house.

“It seemed like a no-brainer to have a place to call our own in a place that we know like the back of our hand,” Crispen said.
