Another restaurant closes in Old Town Bluffton
Another restaurant in Old Town Bluffton has shuttered.
The Infield Bar and Grill, at 9 Promenade St., is now closed. A sign this weekend indicated the restaurant was "closed until further notice." As of Tuesday, that sign has been taken down. The sports bar's Facebook page and website are no longer active.
Attempts to contact Infield's owner were unsuccessful.
Infield is the latest in a string of recently closed restaurants in Old Town. Vineyard 55, formerly at 55 Calhoun St., closed Sept. 21. Owner Jon Rinaldi said at the time that the restaurant's landlord would not renew the lease and that he was seeking a new location for the wine bar.
Additionally, The Sippin Cow, formerly The Sippin Cow at Pepper's Old Town, closed Sept. 13 at 1255 May River Road. The cafe had operated at that address for only seven weeks before abruptly moving out. The Sippin Cow was previously down the road at 1230 May River Road for more than 14 years. Owner Christy Pinksi said in September that she, too, was looking to relocate.
