Site work has begun at Beaufort’s newest shopping center. Here’s each anchor tenant
The Morgan Companies, a commercial property developer, has announced the complete list of anchor tenants at its 200,000 square-foot shopping center under construction in Beaufort including a couple of previously unknown businesses.
Trey Morgan, president of The Morgan Companies, said in a news release that the company has now leased all anchor tenant spaces at Beaufort Station.
The 31-acre site is at the southwest corner of Robert Smalls Parkway and Parris Island Gateway, across the Parkway from Walmart and Cross Creek Plaza, which includes retail stores and restaurants.
Site work is now underway, with Beaufort Station is expected to be open in fall 2023.
WIMCO Corp is serving as the general contractor for the project.
Aldi Grocery Stores, PetSmart, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Five Below, and Rack Room Shoes will be joining previously confirmed anchor tenants, Hobby Lobby, Ross Dress for Less, Ulta Beauty, and Old Navy at Beaufort Station, the company said during a groundbreaking event Monday.
The city of Beaufort previously announced that Aldi was part of the development, as well as Dress for Less, Ulta Beauty Old Navy and Hobby Lobby.
Morgan called interest in the development “phenomenal,” and credited the city’s growing population.
The Morgan Companies specializes in national credit tenant-anchored properties, including shopping centers, office buildings, hotels and medical properties, and single-tenant properties. It has offices in Charlotte and Fort Lauderdale.
