About Breeze Airways
Breeze Airways has deep roots in Charleston, which was one of its original launch cities when the airline began service in May 2021.
Founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, also the founder of JetBlue Airlines, Breeze says it provides affordable, direct flights from underserved markets. In addition to its ongoing service expansion, the airline was certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as a U.S. Flag Carrier in fall 2025.
