Hilton Head’s done it again! Coligny ranked in top 25 U.S. beaches on new ‘best of’ list

Life’s pretty great living in what feels like a picture-perfect postcard, but it’s even better when the world reminds you that you do.

Hilton Head Island has raked in accolades for its beautiful beaches and top restaurants for years, so it’s no surprise Coligny Beach was recognized by Trip Advisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best 2022.

Coligny ranked 16th on the “Top 25 Beaches — United States” list. This is a three spot improvement over last year.

Hawaii and Florida beaches dominated most of the list with Coligny being the only South Carolina beach. (Sorry, Myrtle Beach and Charleston, they said it, not us!!)

Best of the Best is Trip Advisor’s “highest honor,” according to its website. It “takes into account the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings” and the winners are among he top 1% of listings on Trip Advisor.

Coligny’s featured review on the list said, “Beautiful miles of sandy beach. Great for long walks on the beach. Nice walkways with bathrooms, showers, changing areas and decks to gather on.”

Although all of the island’s beaches are loved by locals, Coligny tends to draw a lot of tourists to the southend with its multiple restaurants and stores in walking distance at Coligny Plaza as well as a large free parking lot.

The beach has 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor with 4,201 reviews.

Please note, the following is not a scientific survey, so feel free to vote as many times as you’d like and check back to find out the final results on Thursday at noon.
