Lucas: SOBA to feature work of sculptor Mark Larkin in February
Mark Larkin will be the featured artist for the month of February at the Society of Bluffton Artists' gallery.
A sculptor, Larkin pays homage to twentieth century artist Alex Calder in this new exhibit featuring brightly-colored sculptures with moving parts.
Larkin's "wall-biles" -- part wall sculpture, part mobile -- invites visitors to touch and interact with the innovative pieces.
"Upwardly Wall-Bile" opens Feb. 2, at the gallery at 6 Church St., Bluffton. The exhibit runs through March 6.
A reception is from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 7 and Larkin will give a talk at 11 a.m. on Feb. 13.
