Savannah airport to open Monday

The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is fully operational and will open for commercial air service Monday, according to a news release.

Check with the airlines for schedules and to confirm reservations. Parking and rental car services may be available by Sunday, Oct. 9, depending on when authorities reopen roadways.

Pending authorization from state and local authorities to reopen the roadways, airport officials hope to have parking and rental car services available Sunday, October 9, 2016. Those who have vehicles parked at SAV can pick up their vehicles once roadways are reopened, according to the release. Parking decks are clear and there was no debris or flooding from the storm.
