If we don’t evacuate, will we still be able to call 911?

Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Division Commander Neil Baxley said Tuesday that 911 calls to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office will be taken as long as phone lines are up.

If conditions are bad, though, callers will be put in a queue and their issues addressed only when it’s safe to do so.
