Solar eclipse recall: At least 1 Hilton Head group says its glasses might not be safe
The Coastal Discovery Museum is warning customers who have purchased eclipse glasses at their store to not use them during the solar eclipse as “it is simply not worth the risk to your eyes.”
Rex Garniewicz, Coastal Discovery Museum president, posted the warning on Facebook on Monday, just hours before the eclipse reaches its peak in Beaufort County. Garniewicz said customers would be fully refunded.
The City of Georgetown, South Carolina is recalling the glasses they gave out as well.
