Flames and smoke erupted from a car in the Tanger Outlets parking lot in Bluffton
A car caught fire at Tanger Outlets 1 in Bluffton Thursday evening, sending smoke out into the parking lot.
No injuries were reported and no buildings were damaged, Bluffton Township Fire District spokesman Capt. Lee Levesque said Thursday night.
The fire started around 6 p.m. in the engine of the older model Volvo due to a mechanical issue, he said. The fire was put out quickly by firefighters and was contained to that area of the car.
