Man airlifted after Bluffton Police find him shot in the head
A 53-year-old man has been airlifted to a hospital Friday morning after he was found with a gunshot wound to the head in Bluffton.
The man was found at a residence on Woods Bay Road around 8:45 a.m., according to Joy Nelson, spokesperson for the Bluffton Police Department.
When officers arrived, the man was still breathing, Nelson said.
Nelson was not immediately able to say which hospital the man was taken to and added that officers are investigating the incident.
The weapon was found at the scene, Nelson said. Nelson said police are not actively looking for a gunman.
