The husband of Jesse Floyd, a pregnant teacher who lost her life during a vehicle crash in Bluffton July 25, asked spouses to do eight things in their marriage via a heart-wrenching Facebook post.

Floyd, 27, of Bluffton, died following an accident where the SUV she was in, driven by her husband Ryan Floyd, was one of two vehicles to strike a third vehicle that had stalled while turning from U.S. 278 onto Buck Island Road, according to the Bluffton Police Department.

According to friends of Floyd she was 26 weeks pregnant. She was getting ready to start her seventh year teaching and was to start at a new school, Hilton Head Island Elementary School, as a second grade teacher this month.

More than 1,000 people have shared Ryan’s post, in which expresses the need to show someone how much you love them because you never know when they might be gone. It also goes into the details of the final hours and minutes of his time with his wife.

Ryan said he posted it just hours before Jesse’s funeral, after spending nights working out the right words to say.
