Cpl. Jose Garcia is returning to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office after a year-long deployment in Kuwait with the U.S. Army Reserve.
Prior to his deployment, Garcia worked as the school resource officer at Hilton Head Middle School, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
He has been assigned to a Southern Enforcement Division patrol team since his return.
Garcia was deployed in January and returned to Beaufort County in November after time spent in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, the release said.
At the rank of captain, Garcia is assigned to the 3rd Medical Command Deployment Support, which is based in Atlanta and manages all Army Reserve deployable field medical units.
