Search continues for Seabrook man, who may need medical attention

A 67-year-old Seabrook man is missing from his Detour Road home and may be in danger, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Richard Heyward has been missing since 9 a.m. Friday, the release said.

He is described by deputies as a black male, last seen wearing a black hat, red and white jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. Heyward has health issues and is believed to be in need of medical attention, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office helicopter is being used in the search for Heyward, a Saturday morning release said.
