This Hilton Head beach was just named one of the top 25 beaches in the US for 2018

Hilton Head Island’s Coligny Beach is one of TripAdvisor’s Top 25 Beaches in the United States for 2018.

The beaches were selected and ranked by travelers, putting Coligny at No. 24 of 25. The Hilton Head beach — the only South Carolina beach to make the U.S. list — joins nine beaches in Hawaii, eight in Florida, four in California and one each in Massachusetts, Georgia and Virginia.

Each beach on the list had a review highlight included, such as “Beautiful, clean and well kept” for Florida’s Clearwater beach, the No. 1 choice, or “Take as many pictures as you can!” for Hawaii’s Lanikai Beach, the No. 10 pick. Coligny’s is “Lots of amenities.”

Coligny’s TripAdvisor page shows it has more than 3,200 reviews with 67 percent saying it’s “excellent” and 25 percent saying it’s “very good,” and it has an overall 4.5 out of 5 rating. It’s also listed as the No. 9 thing to do (of 116) on Hilton Head Island.

TripAdvisor also has a list of Top 25 beaches in the world and several lists for top beaches in specific regions of the world.
