This Bluffton fitness center is building a bigger space

A cafe and smoothie bar along with a childcare space are a few of the changes that will come when Crossfit 843 moves to a new location in November, co-owner Amber Caramanica said Thursday.

Currently, the fitness business is operating out of two leased buildings in Old Town Bluffton, Caramanica said. She said the new 11,000-square-foot facility under constriction on Persimmon Road will provide more space than the two buildings currently using used.

“Our goal is to continue to provide the highest quality fitness experience while instilling a strong sense of community for our members,” Caramanica said.

Crossfit 843 has been operating in Bluffton since 2012. The gym provides classes starting as early as 5:30 a.m. and as late as 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
