In the mood for something bold and a bit sweet? Hilton Head Distillery has it

Coffee and dessert lovers might be interested in the recently released Mountain Peak Espresso Rum recently released by Hilton Head Distillery.

Jillian Stephens, the distillery’s business manager, said the spirit has a bold espresso flavor with a little bit of sweetness.

“It strikes a good balance,” Stephens said.

The rum was made in-house using coffee beans from Jamaica’s Blue Mountains, Stephens said.

A bottle of the rum can be purchased for $36.95 from the distillery’s tasting room at 14 Cardinal Road.

The distillery is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and closed Sundays.

Stephens said the rum should be available and all liquor stores on the island and any stores between the island and Okatie in the next two weeks or so. The cost will range from about $27 to $33, Stephens said.
