Lowcountry cheer squads to compete this weekend for national titles

Two squads from Ridgeland’s Allstar Panthers club will travel to Florida this weekend for the D2 Summit National Small Program Championships, joined by nearly 500 other entries from across the country competing for titles at the Tampa Convention Center.

Allstar’s Sapphire team will compete in the Level 2 Large Senior category, while the more advanced Neon squad is entered in the Level 3 Small Senior competition.

With its beginnings in Atlanta, the Allstar Panthers club relocated to the Lowcountry four years ago and draws athletes from both Beaufort and Jasper counties.
