Here’s a list of Beaufort County closings ahead of Tropical Storm Isaias

Some businesses, attractions and offices in Beaufort County announced closings or reduced hours on Monday ahead of Tropical Storm Isaias.

The storm was expected to remain off the South Carolina coastline, but residents were advised to make preparations for possible heavy rain, wind and coastal flooding.

Isaias could strengthen into a hurricane as it passes the state, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Below are the businesses and services that have changed hours.

This list will be updated throughout the day Monday.

Businesses:

Bluffton General Store closed.

Branches of Hilton Head is closing at 3 p.m.

Copper Penny on Hilton Head closed.

Dough Boys Pizza on Hilton Head closed.

Five Guys in Bluffton closed.

Healthy Habit on Hilton Head closed.

Move Fitness in Bluffton closed.

Nonna Marie’s Gelato on Hilton Head closed.

Sweet Carolina Cupcakes on Hilton Head is closing at 3 p.m.

Walmart: All of the Beaufort County locations (Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head, and Lady’s Island) will close at noon. Hardeeville is closing at 5 p.m.

Attractions:

Fort Pulaski closed.

Hilton Head Island beach access points and community parks closed.

Services:

Beaufort County School District’s free meal distribution suspended.

Hospitals: Hilton Head Regional Care hospitals (Hilton Head Hospital and Coastal Carolina Hospital) canceled outpatient COVID-19 drive-thru testing. Beaufort Memorial Hospital is closing physician practices and Express Care clinics early. Those with appointments will be contacted.

Municipal government offices in Beaufort County: Beaufort County, City of Beaufort, Town of Bluffton, Town of Hilton Head Island, and Town of Port Royal public buildings are closing at noon.

Palmetto Breeze Transit (bus and trolley) suspended.

Bridges: All draw and swing bridges in Beaufort County will be locked down for marine traffic 3:00 p.m. Monday until 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Maj. Bob Bromage said Monday. The bridges will not be closed to vehicle traffic. This includes Woods Memorial Bridge in Beaufort and Harbor River Bridge to Harbor Island.
