Endangered woman’s car found but she’s still missing, South Carolina police say

The search continues for a missing woman in South Carolina, the Charleston Police Department said Monday.

Celia Sweeney was reported missing Saturday and the 28-year-old woman is considered endangered, police said in a news release.

The Charleston resident hasn’t maintained contact with family or friends, and hasn’t showed up to work, which is out of the ordinary behavior for her, police spokesman Charles Francis told The State.

Further information on why the woman is in danger was not available.
