Pup ignored at shelter for nearly a year needs a home. ‘Wants someone to see her’
A very gentle and loving dog in Indiana needs a home after being overlooked for nearly a year.
Meet Bebe, a snow white pit bull mix with a soft heart and a big smile who has been waiting for a long time in and out of kennel life at the Humane Society for Hamilton County in Fishers.
“Almost a year. That’s how long Bebe has been waiting. This gentle, 7-year-old soul came to us last August, she’s watched other dogs leave with their forever families while she stays behind, quietly hoping her turn will come,” the shelter said in a June 24 Facebook post
“Bebe doesn’t ask for much. She’s not loud. She’s not demanding. She just wants someone to see her.”
Bebe hasn’t spent all her time this year enduring shelter life. She was cared for by a foster family and felt safe enough to show her personality.
“She recently spent time in a foster home, and her foster said she was the perfect houseguest - calm, quiet, completely housebroken, and full of love,” the shelter said. “She greeted her people with a signature full-body wiggle and then would curl up in a cozy spot nearby, happy just to be close.”
The mild-mannered pup would do best in a low-key household with no another pets bustling around.
“No chaos. Just a home where she can finally exhale, rest her head in your lap, and know that she’ll never be left behind again,” the shelter said.

Fishers is about a 20-mile drive northeast from downtown Indianapolis.
