Scaly creature pops out from under truck and surprises driver, Arizona officials say

A driver was left surprised after a slithering creature was seen popping out from under his parked truck, Arizona officials said.

The driver was traveling from Mesa to Scottsdale when he saw a boa constrictor peeking his head from under the truck after parking, according to a Nov. 12 Facebook post by Scottsdale Fire Department officials.

When firefighters arrived, they removed the truck’s undercarriage protective armor and extracted the snake, officials said.

The snake, believed to be a pet that got out, wasn’t harmed, officials said.

After the snake was extracted, it was put into a box and sent to the Arizona Herpetological Society, officials said.

Scottsdale is about a 10-mile drive northeast of Phoenix.
