A road that connects US 278, SC 170 will be repaved this week. It may affect your commute
Drivers can expect delays due to construction at least three nights this week in the area of Argent Boulevard.
Argent Boulevard connects S.C. 170 in the Okatie area and U.S. 278 near the Hardeeville Walmart, just before the Beaufort County line.
The construction, which includes milling and repaving, is expected to go from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. each day on different parts of the road, according to a Blythe Construction news release.
Here are the details:
- Tuesday night: Southbound right lane and left lane will be closed for milling from .2 miles north of Argent Boulevard to 1.25 miles south of Argent Boulevard.
- Wednesday night: Southbound right lane and left lane will be closed for paving from .2 miles north of Argent Boulevard to 1.25 miles south of Argent Boulevard. Northbound right and left lane will be closed for milling from .1 miles south of Argent Boulevard to .2 miles north of Argent Boulevard.
- Thursday night: Northbound right and left lane will be closed for paving from .1 miles south of Argent Boulevard to .2 miles north of Argent Boulevard.
The schedule is subject to change due to weather and other circumstances.
There’s also overnight lane closures on I-95 near Beaufort and Jasper counties this week.
