Bluffton drivers: Keep an eye out for these road closures
Portions of May River Road and Pin Oak Street in Bluffton will be closed temporarily over the next several weeks as construction continues on town streetscape and sewer projects.
Here’s where to expect closures:
▪ Pin Oak Street in the Bluffton Park neighborhood will be closed between Brendan and Kerby lanes Wednesday through Friday as Beaufort-Jasper Water Sewer Authority crews install water and sewer main lines, according to a Bluffton town news release.
Able Street and 4th Avenue will be open and will be used as detours. Bluffton Park and adjacent neighborhoods will be fully accessible with detours, the release said.
▪ Nighttime closures are expected Wednesday, Thursday and Friday along May River Road as crews install storm drainage pipes west of the Dollar General store.
While the majority of construction will happen at night, there will be a few daylight shifts needed, according to the release.
▪ During the week of August 28, the entrance of Pin Oak Street from May River Road will be closed to allow contractors to install drainage pipes at that intersection, the town’s news release said.
