Portions of this Hilton Head road closed today

Oakview Road will be closed to through traffic near its southern intersection with Spanish Wells Road today, according to a release. The same area was closed Monday and Tuesday.

The northern intersection of Oakview Road and Spanish Wells Road will remain open, the release said.

The Hilton Head Public Service District will be installing sewer service in the area as part of the town’s initiative to bring sewer service to the north and mid-island areas, the release said.

Drivers are asked to use caution in the work zone and follow traffic control directions.
