A new charge -- kidnapping -- has been added to those filed against the suspect in a Jan. 31 armed robbery reported at a Bluffton gas station

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office brought the kidnapping charge against Drevon Robinson, 18, one of two suspects in the case. Robinson is also charged with two counts of robbery while armed with a deadly weapon and one charge of possession of a weapon in the commission of a violent crime.

Robinson, of Garnett, is accused of robbing two women at the Parker's station at 1286 US 278 around 12:45 p.m. The women reported that the men approached them while they were putting air in their tire behind the station and took their property at gunpoint.

A Department of Natural Resources officer took Robinson into custody, but the second suspect ran toward Malphrus Road. The officer confiscated a .380-caliber pistol from Robinson, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The suspect at large is described as a black male about 5-feet, 7-inches tall with a lean build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and faded orange pants. He had a red bandana over his face and was reportedly carrying a handgun.
