One caught, one at large in Bluffton armed robbery

An armed robbery in Bluffton ended with an arrest after an S.C. DNR officer happened to see the incident and immediately apprehended one of the suspects.

The robbery took place at about 12:45 p.m., at the Parker's at 1286 Fording Island Road, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office. Two suspects allegedly robbed two women who were putting air in their vehicle's tire in the rear parking lot.

The Department of Natural Resources officer was able to take one suspect into custody, but the other man ran toward Malphrus Road.

He has not been found and is considered armed and dangerous.

The victims were not injured in the robbery and some of their property has been recovered.

Drevon Robinson, 18, of Garnett has been charged with robbery while armed with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon in commission of a violent crime.

The other suspect is described as a 5-foot-7 black male with a lean build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, yellow pants and a red bandana on his face.

Authorities believe another individual drove the pair to the gas station in a black SUV and may have been waiting for them somewhere nearby.
