Charges pending after Monday morning U.S. 278 crash
Charges are pending after all lanes of US 278 at Buck Island Road were closed for a brief time Monday morning by a two-vehicle crash.
Witnesses told the Bluffton Police Department that Susie Seelbach was traveling westbound on 278 when she made an abrupt left turn toward Buck Island Road around 10:30 a.m., according to the police department news release.
As Seelbach turned, an eastbound car driven by Wei Kevin Chen was struck, the release said.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene to transport Seelbach.
Chen was taken by ambulance to the hospital for non-life-threatening injures.
The investigation is ongoing.
