Bluffton man sought on attempted murder charges in shooting incident arrested, police say
A Bluffton man police say shot at three men during a dispute at a home off Buckwalter Parkway Monday night has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, according to jail records.
Daniel Flores-Barrero, 25, faces seven charges: three counts of attempted murder, two counts of firing a weapon inside a home, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and one count of unlawful carrying of a pistol, according to the Beaufort County Detention Center.
He turned himself in at the Bluffton Police Department Wednesday night, according to Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Bob Bromage.
Flores-Barrero is accused of shooting at three people Monday night, according to the Sheriff’s Office. No one was injured in the incident.
Deputies arrived to Morningside Drive about 9 p.m., and found three men at a home who said Flores-Barrero shot at them and then ran away.
The incident began as “a verbal altercation between Flores and the three males,” a Sheriff’s Office report said. “Flores then produced a pistol and fired off multiple rounds at the three males.”
Flores-Barrero is being held in the Beaufort County Detention Center. No bond has been set, jail records show.
