Bluffton man sought on attempted murder charges; police say he’s armed and dangerous

A Bluffton man police describe as armed and dangerous is being sought on attempted murder charges in connection with a shooting incident Tuesday night in a neighborhood off Buckwalter Parkway, according to authorities.

Daniel Flores-Barrero, 25, is wanted on seven charges: three counts of attempted murder, two counts of firing a weapon inside a home, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and one count of unlawful carrying of a pistol, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Two houses were struck by gunfire but no one was injured in the incident, and Flores-Barrero is considered armed and dangerous, the release said.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute call on Morningside Drive at 7:30 p.m.

Flores-Barrero ran away, according to Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Bob Bromage, but returned nearly two hours later and began threatening people at the home. He then fired a handgun multiple times at people at the home before running away again, according to Bromage.
