Bluffton police investigate crash that left pedestrian injured near farmers market
The investigation into a Thursday incident in which a 74-year-old woman was struck by a pickup truck near the Bluffton Farmers Market is continuing, according to the Bluffton Police Department.
The victim, who has not been publicly identified, suffered broken legs and ankles around 1:30 p.m. when she was struck by a truck turning onto Lawton Street from Calhoun Street, according to a department news release.
According to the release sent on Friday, the department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash to determine the cause and if charges will be filed.
