Man wanted in Beaufort County for attempted murder. He could be armed, police say
A man known to be in Beaufort County is wanted by law enforcement on attempted murder and weapons possession charges.
Devante Trevon Major, 23, is suspected in a Nov. 20 shooting on Delaney Circle in Seabrook, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report. An adult male gunshot victim was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for treatment. Approximately 20 people were at the scene when deputies arrived, but the identity and a description of the suspect were not immediately available.
Major is 5-foot-10 and weighs about 280 pounds, according a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
He should be considered armed and dangerous, the release said.
Major is known to be in the Delaney Circle area of Seabrook.
