Sunday may be a day of rest for some, but the schedule for the Beaufort Water Festival is anything but quiet.

Children’s Day at Waterfront Park starts at 11 a.m. and runs to 3 p.m. It will feature games, activities, shows, bounce houses and prizes. Admission is free.

Later in the evening, the Teen Dance takes over the park. Gates open at 6 p.m., and there will be no entry after 8 p.m. The party for ages 13-17 only (ID required) ends at 9 p.m. Admission is $10.

Opening ceremonies for Beaufort’s biggest festival were Friday evening.

Online ticket sales for Saturday night’s concert featuring Eli Young Band, Kidd G and Peytan Porter were closed as of noon Saturday because of high demand. Some tickets would be available for cash at the gate starting at 6 p.m., according to the festival’s Facebook page.

Other activities on the Beaufort Water Festival schedule Sunday:

  • Arts and Crafts Market: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Promenade
  • River Rally: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Free shrimp boat tours: Noon to 4 p.m. at the Seawall
  • Ski show: 1 p.m., free

Monday’s lineup

On Monday, the Arts and Crafts Market will run from noon to 7 p.m.

In the evening, Motown Monday will feature the music of Deas-Guyz. Admission is $15, and gates open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show. Children ages 5 and under enter free. Shuttle service will be available from the Beaufort County Government Center.
