Sheriff’s Office: Seabrook man remains missing, endangered

Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is still seeking help to find a 67-year-old Seabrook man who has been missing since Friday morning.

Richard Heyward was last seen about 9 a.m. on Friday at his Detour Road home, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. Heyward usually walks his grandchildren to the bus stop in the morning, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

Heyward is suffering from some illnesses and may need assistance or medical attention, according to the report. His family members were contacted by Heyward’s daughter and Sheriff’s Office deputies, helicopter and search dogs combed the neighborhood several times, according to the report.

He was last seen wearing a black hat, red and white jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information on Heyward’s whereabouts should call 911.
