Firefighters spend two hours extinguishing blaze at abandoned Burton mobile home

No injuries were reported after firefighters of the Burton Fire District spent nearly two hours early Thursday extinguishing a blaze at an abandoned mobile home.

The Broad River Boulevard home was fully engulfed and the roof was collapsing by the time firefighters arrived around 2:30 a.m., according to a fire district media release.

The residence was located off of the main road, causing access problems for those firefighters.

The Beaufort Fire Scene Investigation Team is investigating the fire.
