Beaufort Dollar General armed robbery suspects at large
Two masked men accused of robbing the Beaufort Dollor General at gunpoint Monday remained at large Tuesday as police worked to identify them.
The masked men, thought to be around 22 and 25 years old, entered the Ribaut Road Dollar General around 9:30 p.m., according to a Beaufort Police Department news release.
One of the suspects held a handgun while the second jumped over the store’s counter and took an undisclosed amount of money from the register, the release said.
The pair then ran away. Witnesses could not say which direction they traveled.
No injuries were reported.
A Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office canine was called in to search for the men and a perimeter set up shortly after the robbery, the release said.
