Grays Hill man surrenders to face felony drug charge

A 27-year-old Grays Hill area man surrendered to Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office on Friday night to face a felony drug charge.

Jeffrey Grant was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and a misdemeanor offense of unlawful carrying of a pistol, according to online Beaufort County court documents. He was held in Beaufort County Detention Center and released on $15,000 bond Sunday morning.

Grant’s arrest was a result of an investigation into an April 9 shooting incident at the Grays Hill Community Center in which two men were shot, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release Monday afternoon.
