Deputies search for man with rifle in Beaufort

Deputies are searching for a man with a rifle near Joe Frazier Road and Burton Wells in Beaufort, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Described by deputies as a black male, the man fled a traffic stop, running into the woods with a rifle, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
