From the historic mansions of Beaufort to the Victorian-style homes dotted around Charleston, the South Carolina Lowcountry is no stranger to grand, castle-like homes.

But one modern take on that tradition is turning heads on Isle of Palms.

This Lowcountry home on Isle of Palms is making the rounds online after being featured by the Instagram account, Zillow Gone Wild, a Zillow affiliate that’s known for showcasing some of the most extravagant and quirky homes in the U.S.

The home, located at 3 Cross Lane and nicknamed “The Castle House” by locals, was posted to the real estate page on Aug. 16, grabbing viewers’ attention with its eye-catching structure, resort-style features and beach vacation energy.

The post has garnered more than a handful of likes and responses, with one viewer commenting: “Isle take it!”

The house entered the market in March, with an initial listing price of $3.85 million before it was reduced in April and May.

Now listed for $3,495,000, the three-story home blends coastal charm with durability from its insulated concrete form construction, a material known for its hurricane resistance.

“It’s definitely not your typical beach house on Isle of Palms,” said Annmarie Bailey, listing agent with The Boulevard Company. “It has a more traditional feel, almost like what you would see in downtown Charleston, but it’s beautiful, and has unique details like thick molding and columns throughout.”

Spanning 5,074 square feet, the property includes four bedrooms, five bathrooms, two garages and a fifth bonus space that serves as a mother-in-law suite with its own entrance.

There’s also a dedicated office along with a gourmet kitchen with a quartz island and high-end appliances.
