The most expensive Hilton Head home for sale has a koi pond and movie theater. Take a look
Hilton Head Island’s most expensive home is once again up for sale.
The 18,056 square-foot estate at 80 Bridgetown Lane–built in 2003–is described as an “architectural masterpiece” by its realtor, The Etheridge Group. It’s been on the market for more than a year and is listed for $12.9 million after two price reductions. The original asking price was $18 million. It’s the most expensive home listed on Hilton Head, according to Zillow.
The estate is located in the Wexford private community at the mouth of Wexford’s private harbor on Broad Creek. Wexford is a luxury community with other multi-million dollar homes. Here’s what makes it the most expensive Hilton Head home:
The exterior
The estate features a main residence and a guest house. The exterior is stucco with classical motifs, including a fountain in the driveway with sculptures of Greek gods. Out back is a large swimming pool and patio with a covered outdoor kitchen. There are balconies on both the main and guest houses.
Two piers extend over Broad Creek from the property. It has a seven-car garage and a brick-laid driveway. A koi pond sits along the north side of the estate.
The interior
There are eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and four half bathrooms in the estate, according to the listing. It’s listed as single-family despite the eight bedrooms. Photos show large, fully-furnished bedrooms and bathrooms in both the main and guest houses.
The entrance leads to a grand foyer, and then a living room and dining room. The dining room is furnished with a large fresco on the wall and two chandeliers.
The estate contains five fireplaces, multiple bars, an elevator, an office and a library. It also has a medieval-style wine cellar with dozens of shelves. The office features a fully wooden interior.
The activity rooms
The estate has a movie theater with seats for a dozen people. The room is reminiscent of an actual movie theater, with a curtained stage for the screen.
A full-size bowling alley with two lanes can be found in another room. A bar sits at the other end of the room as well as a locker room with bowling shoes of various sizes. Below the bowling alley is another bar and lounge room. The estate also has a personal gym, spa room, and hot tub room.
The estate was previously sold for $7 million in October 2021. The home and land are valued at $12.7 million, according to Beaufort County property records. The Etheridge Group did not respond to the Island Packet for comment.
