Fahey: Home Emporium now open in Bluffton
The former A1 Emporium in Bluffton has relocated under a new moniker.
Home Emporium, at 131 Towne Drive in Belfair Towne Village, opened about two weeks ago, according to manager Bev Stiles.
She described the store as an "affordable, coastal chic" furniture and accessories retailer.
"We were looking for a bigger space for more (inventory)," Stiles said. The new space -- next to Kroger, in the former Blockbuster -- offers about 1,000 additional square feet.
Stiles said there has been a noticeable uptick in retail traffic since opening the new store. A1 Emporium opened in August in the same shopping center, at 27 Towne Drive.
Home Emporium is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
