Bluffton about to up its fashion game with another boutique

A New Jersey-based, designer boutique is opening its second location in Bluffton this month.

Maluka is preparing its launch at Old Town’s 5 Promenade St., Suite 1303, at the former location of Dorcas Alterations & Design. It has not announced a specific opening date.

The shop — which takes its name from founders and sisters Marcy, Lulu and Kari — pulls its women’s apparel and accessories from a wide range of designer brands, such as Ellie Vail, Tangerine NYC, Tart and Virginia Wolf NYC.

Online, some of its offerings start at $40, though most items cost at least $100 and some are upward of $200.

Maluka’s original brick-and-mortar store is in Wyckoff, N.J.

The new store will join one other boutique in the Promenade. Apparel, jewelry and linens shop Cocoon moved from Sheridan Park in November.
