Hilton Head Island blizzard fans, the big day is almost here.

Dairy Queen, in the former Arby's at 1018 William Hilton Parkway, is expected to open late next week, according to franchisee Kaylynn Kim.

Kim, who also owns the franchise in Bluffton and one in Las Vegas, said she decided to open the island Dairy Queen after many of her Bluffton customers asked her to do so.

Dairy Queen, called a "grill and chill" restaurant, is known for frozen treats such as its dipped ice cream cones, Blizzards and sundaes. Its menu includes grilled chicken sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs.
