Dairy Queen eyeing Hilton Head location
Dairy Queen could be moving on Hilton Head Island this year, with a new location near the Sea Pines Circle.
Plans are in the works for Dairy Queen to buy the Arby's restaurant at 1018 William Hilton Parkway and replace it with one of the company's signature Grill and Chill restaurants, according to plans submitted to the town.
The changeover would require no new construction, according to the plans, submitted by Bluffton architect Michael Kronimus.
The restaurant's move is not yet finalized, Kronimus said Monday afternoon.
Dairy Queen already has two area locations -- on U.S. 278 in Bluffton and on Sea Island Parkway on Lady's Island.
This would be the company's first on Hilton Head.
