Avelo adds nonstop flight between Savannah and Delaware. How to get a $39 ticket
Avelo Airlines began a new nonstop flight from Savannah to the Delaware Valley and Philadelphia areas on Wednesday.
The flights on a Boeing Next Generation 737 will run between the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport and the Wilmington International Airport on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
One way fares start at $39 for travel completed by Oct. 31. Fares must be booked by July 4. Additional fees for carry-on and checked bags, assigned seats and other optional services may apply.

The Wilmington airport is located south of Philadelphia and serves flyers from southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, South Jersey and the northern Eastern Shore of Maryland, according to a news release. Ground travel time to downtown Philadelphia from this airports is approximately one hour and is an hour and 20 minutes to Baltimore.
“This service will be the first service we have ever had to the state of Delaware. We believe Wilmington will be a strong market for us,” said Greg Kelly, executive director of the Savannah Airport Commission, in the news release.
Avelo, which rhymes with Jello, also has offered a nonstop flight from Savannah to Connecticut four times a week since May 2022.
