No more Bojangles for Bluffton. Restaurant closed and signs removed
Bojangles in Bluffton is closed and the restaurant’s signs have been removed.
The location, known for its chicken and biscuits, opened to great fanfare in November 2016 at 8230 Pinellas Drive off Buckwalter Parkway in Bluffton. Customers were trying to go through the drive-thru before the restaurant was officially open, The Island Packet reported at the time.
Now, the menu board at that same drive-thru is empty, and a sign on the door states simply, “We are closed.”
The branding also has been taken off the facade and from the sign near the busy thoroughfare.
The website for Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ’n Biscuits no longer lists a Bluffton franchise in its directory. The only remaining location in Beaufort County is now at 109 Robert Smalls Parkway in Beaufort. The next closest is in Port Wentworth.
An email to the corporate media office Monday morning was not returned by the afternoon.
The person who answered the phone at the Beaufort location said she could not comment.
