Slapfish seafood restaurant opening this week on Hilton Head’s south end
Slapfish, a fast casual seafood restaurant known for its lobster rolls and other food truck-style dishes, will open Saturday on Hilton Head Island’s south end.
The restaurant is located at 1024 William Hilton Parkway, near the Sea Pines traffic circle, in a building that previously was a gas station called The Pantry.
Slapfish’s menu features shrimp, lobster and fried or grilled fish served in sandwiches, tacos and salads, along with New England clam chowder, lobster rolls, and fish and chips.
Less traditional offerings are the Chowder Fries, which are fries smothered in clam chowder and bacon; the Surf and Turf Burger that includes lobster, cheese and caramelized onions; and the Clobster Grilled Cheese, a sandwich stuffed with crab and lobster.
A news release from Slapfish says the Hilton Head restaurant also will serve seafood “from the local waters of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida such as ... grouper, vermillion snapper, summer flounder, and yellowfin tuna.”
Last November, the same owners — Sharon, David, David Q. and Zach Lomasney — opened a Slapfish location in Pooler. The company has more than 50 locations either operating or in development in the U.S. and internationally, the news release says.
