New steakhouse expected to open by the end of January in Beaufort
Diners in Beaufort will have a new place to eat by the end of the month.
Longhorn Steakhouse will open in Beaufort on Jan. 28, according to a statement released on Tuesday from the restaurant company.
The restaurant is scheduled to open at 3 p.m., preceded by a “lasso cutting” at 2 p.m.
The new restaurant, located at 192 Robert Smalls Parkway, will seat more than 180 people and employ more than 60, the statement said.
Available jobs listed on the company’s website include servers, bartenders, line cooks, hosts and dishwashers.
The restaurant will feature eight grilled steak cuts on its menu, which also will include chicken, salmon and shrimp, baby back ribs, burgers and an array of side dishes and desserts.
Hours will be Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The restaurant is adjacent to other development, such as Butler Chrysler Dodge Jeep, at the intersection of Robert Smalls Parkway and Burton Hill Road.
Within the past few years, new businesses have opened across the street. In front of Lowe’s, there is Granger Nissan, a Navy Federal Credit Union, Taco Bell and KFC, among others.
Orlando-based Longhorn Steakhouse has more than 500 locations across 41 states. Beaufort County is home to one other Longhorn Steakhouse, at 1262 Fording Island Road in Bluffton’s Tanger One Outlets.
