This long-awaited frozen drink franchise has opened its doors in Beaufort
Wet Willie’s welcomed its first guests in Beaufort on Saturday — more than a year after its planned opening.
There have been many grumblings on Facebook in the past year as some doubted the frozen-daiquiri bar would ever open at Beaufort Town Center.
It originally was planned for late September or October of 2016. The opening was then pushed to summer 2016. The owner said in July of this year it would be open that month.
Joseph Ford, owner has previously said there was a delay in finalizing details for the bar.
Wet Willie’s has 16 locations, including the Beaufort site, listed on its website. It also includes two Savannah locations along with spots in Myrtle Beach and Columbia.
The bar will be opened from 11 a.m. to midnight Mondays through Thursdays; 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays; noon to midnight Sundays.
